Scheduled Tribe students who are studying 3rd to 10th classes in the Schools run by different managements both under Government and quasi-Government are being admitted into Tribal Welfare Hostels. At present there are 506 Tribal Welfare Hostels of which 119 are meant for ST Girls alone. The total strength in these hostels is 87,975.
