( AMENDMENT) REGULATION, 1960

(REGULATION III OF 1960)

2. Amendment of Section 2, Madras Regulation IV of 1951.
 
Received the assent of the President on 5 th November, 1960 published in the Andhra Pradesh Gazette, Part IV B, (Extraordinary) page 189, dated 13 th December 1960).

In exercise of powers conferred by sub-paragraph (2) of paragraph 5 of the Fifth Schedule to the Constitution of India, the Governor of Andhra Pradesh with the assent of the President, here by makes the following Regulation namely:-

A Regulation to amend the Andhra Pradesh (Andhra Scheduled Areas) Estates (Abolition and Conversion into Ryotwari) Regulation 1951.

Be it enacted in the Eleventh year of the Republic of India as follows:-
 
1. Short title and commencement:-
  (1)
This Regulation may be called The Andhra Pradesh (Andhra Scheduled Areas) Estates (Abolition and Conversion into Ryotwari) (Amendment) Regulation, 1960.
  (2)
It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification in the Andhra Pradesh Gazette, appoint
 
 
2. Amendment of section 2, Regulation IV of 1951:-
 
For Clause (a)of section 2 of the Andhra Pradesh (Andhra Scheduled Areas) Estates (Abolition and Conversion into Ryotwari) Regulation, 1951 (Regulation IV of 1951), the following clause shall be substituted, namely:-
  (a) In the first Act-
  (i)
in sub section (4) of Section I, for the words " shall come into force at once" the following  words, figures and letters shall be substituted, namely by:

"shall be deemed to have come into force on the 19 th April 1949"
  (ii)
after sub-section (4) of section 22, the following sub-section shall be inserted, namely by:
 
"(5) The provisions of this section shall not apply to an estate or a portion of an estate situated exclusively in any of the Scheduled Areas Estates (Abolition and Conversion into Ryotwari) Regulation, 1951 (Regulation IV of 1951)":
  (iii)
after sub-section (1) of section 28, and sub-section(1) of section 32 the following proviso shall be inserted, namely:-
   
"Provided that in the case of any such estate or portion of an estate as is referred to in sub-section (5) of section 22, such gross annual ryotwari demand shall be the revenue payable under section
