Eligibility Criteri a

As per NABARD guidelines the minimum spacing to be maintained between dugwells/borewells, minor Irrigation works shall be indicated below:

Dugwells with or without pumpset: 150m

Dugwells with pumpsets: 150 m

Borewells with pumpsets: 250 m

Between Dugwells & Borewells: 215 m

The beneficiary's own irrigated area is smaller than which can be irrigated by well/bore well, the bank may advice the beneficiary that he can sell surplus water to neighboring farms. The income from sale of water, if guaranteed, may also be reckoned for purpose of viability of investments upto a maximum of 50% of loan repayment installment.

The Electric Motor financed should always be provided with a starter and a capacitor matching the motor.

Where higher hp pumpset is required, for use other than irrigation, with common prime mover, total hp of the pumpset selected for agricultural shall not exceed 1.5 times the hp required for irrigation purpose subject to a maximum of 10 hp.

Drip Irrigation/ Sprinklers

Beneficiary is required 2 acres of land.

The Departmental Subsidy (Horticulture Department) for Drip Irrigation will be 50% of the cost for small and marginal ST farmers.

Orchard Crops: Orchard crops may be irrigated with drip irrigation system if water supply of 1 ltr per second/hectare is available for 4 hours per day.

Vegetables and other closed spaced crops: Drip Irrigation system may be used if water supply of 3 ltrs per second/hectare is available for 4 hours per day.
